My beautiful baby girl...and check out that hair!

This past week has been kind of crazy. We are still trying to help Sammee not spit up so much so I changed my diet. I do not eat any diary or chocolate. I also cannot eat anything citrus, otherwise Sammantha throws up everywhere. (Much different than spit-up...trust me.) Anyway, she is still spitting up but is much happier when I don't eat diary or chocolate. This was a real sacrifice for me. Any of you that know me well enough know that I LOVE milk and chocolate so it was kind of killer to stop eating it. But I am doing good I think and I would do anything to help my baby feel better.
Sammantha has a rash still on her little face but it is slowly getting better. She picked up a little bit of a cold this week too, but I think she is finally over it. She was really fussy and upset Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Saturday was the worst though. She basically cried the whole time she was awake and stayed up until 4 in the morning. That was a very long night, and I have to admit, there were moments where I was crying right along with her because she had been crying for hours and I didn't know what to do for her. Also, the fact that I hadn't slept at all probably played a part in that as well. However, by Monday she was feeling much better and was happier and more alert than I had ever seen her. I was able to get my whole house cleaned while she just layed and talked to me. It was great!
Today after giving her a bath, I wanted to see if I could put her hair up in a pony tail or something. And sure enough, we can! She has so much hair and I love it!!!

She loved to fold her hands over her chest when she sleeps.

Check out her hair!

I do think that I lucked out and got the cutest baby in the world!

This is her on Monday sitting in a little vibrating/bouncy chair that our neighbors lent us. Thank heavens for this chair, it was the only way we could get her to sleep when she was sick. She loves it!

She was so happy and was awake for over an hour just talking to me and looking all around.

One thing that I thought was very interesting on Monday was the fact that Sam knew when she was alone and she didn't like it. I was in the bedroom most of the day doing laundry and sorting through things while I was cleaning our room. She was laying in her chair on the floor. She was down behind the bed and was low enough that she couldn't see me anymore if I walked out the door. That didn't matter though, if I was gone out of the room for more than a minute she started to cry and as soon as I walked back in and said something to her she stopped and was happy again. I was surprised that she was so alert and aware of what I was doing. It made me feel special.

Look at that precious face!

Yes, she is getting chubbier. ;.)

Of course she is playing with killer whales already, who do you think she is?

Actually, Grandma Rust gave me this good idea. She told me to take a picture of Sammee next to a stuffed animal every week and you'll be able to see how much and how fast she grows. I obviously havn't done it every week, but I want to start doing it more often.

Here she is just waving her arms all around and talking like there is no tomorrow.

I love this face.

She has the cutest smile, and I think if she knew how to this would have resulted in a laugh.

Same as this

She looks like she is striking a pose for this pic.

  1. Wow! Look at all that hair. Did you have that much hair as a baby? She's adorable. Sorry you've had to give up chocolate. I know how much you love that. I'm thinking of Europe when you probably ate 40 chocolate bars in a month. :) Love ya Leesh!
